An Ecofeminist Lens on Indigenous Land Stewardship - the Zine
A downloadable book
WELCOME TO WONDERFUL WACKY WORLD OF THEORETICAL FRAMEWORKS
This zine covers a longer research paper I wrote in my final semester of undergrad for an English class. I chose to focus on Indigenous land stewardship seeing as our paper needed to cover both climate change and our field of study (anthropology!), and this is a topic I'm passionate about.
WHAT THIS ZINE COVERS
This scanned physical zine covers:
i. ecofeminism - definition and controversies
ii. Indigenous land stewardship - definition and importance
iii. bridging the gap - how and why are these connected?
iv. case studies - examples of Indigenous land stewardship in practice
v. proposed solutions - what can we do with this information
FURTHER SOURCES TO CONSIDER
This PDF shows all sources used in my original paper, and the ones that pull focus are highlighted in yellow.
IMPORTANCE
By analyzing a very influential topic in a new lens you invite new eyes on it. This framework encourages you to examine Indigenous land stewardship through a lens that discusses how land violence can lead to violence against the people who inhabit it - especially women.
